- Zed is an open-source, Rust-based code editor with built-in agentic editing, edit predictions and real-time multiplayer collaboration. The Personal plan is free forever and includes 2,000 accepted edit predictions plus unlimited use with your own API keys or external agents such as Claude Agent and Codex CLI; the docs add that the editor needs no subscription or authentication. Pro adds unlimited edit predictions and $5 of included tokens per month, with usage beyond that billed at provider list price plus 10% - the docs put the Pro subscription at $10/month via the default $10 monthly spend limit note - and Business is $30/seat/month with no bundled AI credits. A Student plan gives verified university students Pro features and $10/month in token credits free for one year.
